As the information that needs to be packaged changes, so do the packages themselves. For example, ring binders have evolved from primarily holders of paper to multi-use packages that may contain VHS tapes, fabric swatches and much more.

Foam or vacuum-formed trays - CD-ROM and DVD-ROM discs require packaging that displays as it protects. In a foam disc package, a bare disc is pressed onto a foam “button” that holds it firmly in place. Vacuum-formed plastic trays can be designed to hold a bare disc, jewel case, VHS or cassette tape. Foam and vacuum-formed trays can be used as either a stand-alone package, or on the inside cover of a ring binder.

Slipcases and slantcases - Do you have a set of software discs that need organizing, or DVD movies that need to be prominently displayed? We offer a wide range of turned-edge construction materials - such as laminated paper, vinyl, cloth and imitation leather - that build value into a slipcase. Additional finishing options let you create truly customized slipcase and slantcase packaging. For example, a slipcase that houses a set of DVD movies can be die cut to register to an image on the front of the DVD package itself.

Ring binder options - Many software and business information packaging applications call for a large amount of paper to be housed with complementary software on either CD-ROM or diskette. Ring binders are a great solution, and offer plenty of media packaging options. For discs without jewel cases, clear vinyl pages that are punched for insertion onto the rings allow easy storing and viewing. Discs can also be tucked into die cut slits on a polyethylene page, or into heat-sealed vinyl pockets formed on the inside cover.
